Requirements for College Credit

1) Enrollment in an accredited college or university such as SUNY Orange.

2) Approval and reference by a faculty member of that institution.

3) Earn 1 hour toward your degree doing something you love guided by the best in the field.

Otherwise for the pure joy of learning

Sundog Stained Glass Studio is happy to announce stained glass classes for 2014. Each class runs 6 classes per session, 3 hours long for each class, dedicated to no more than 6 students per class. Each student progresses at his or her particular pace, with projects and instruction tailored to their specific needs.

All materials and tools are provided, shared by all students, and returned to the storage shelves at the end of each session. All tools, solder, foil, flux, etc. and pattern books remain in the classroom. They cannot be borrowed.

The cost of glass is already included in the class fee. If the student wishes to take his or her project home to work on, he can, but he must purchase his own set of tools, foil, solder, etc. (if he doesn't already own them). These will be offered to each student at a reduced cost. This offer is for students only.

Classeswill be provided with numerous project books to share, but students are also encouraged to bring their own ideas, drawings, patterns, etc. The cost of materials does not include mirror, or window glass.

Each student is expected to clean up at the end of the class, and replace the class tools in their proper places for the next class.

The cost for each 6 week session, 3 hours each class, totaling 18 hours, is $250.00. This includes all glass, solder, foil, zinc or brass edging, box hinges, etc. and the free use of class tools, patterns and copying materials. * Additional classes can be added if you need more time for your final project, at a nominal fee, based on the degree of assistance needed.

* Wear loose, comfortable clothing.
* No sandals or open toed shoes, no bare feet.
* No high heels.
* No pets, no children.
* Bring your own apron, if you desire one.
* No food or drink in work area.
* No smoking.
* No refunds after 1st class.

Class times

Wednesday mornings 10:00 - 1:00
Saturday Mornings 10:00 - 1:00

Caveat: In cases where you are studying for college credit, your accredited college or university may apply additional charges plus require longer than the standard 6 week session (which would then also be assessed the standard additional amount by Sundog Studio). Check with your college to be sure of eligibility and charges.
